Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information MarketCrony ("we," "us," "our"), operated by Cozain Consulting, collects from affiliates and site visitors, why, and how we handle it. It applies to marketcrony.com and the affiliate dashboards it hosts.

1. Information We Collect

From affiliates who apply to the Program

2. How We Use Your Information

To operate your affiliate account — generate your tracking links, calculate commissions, and process approvals.
To pay commissions owed to you, using the bank details you provide.
To send you transactional emails — application status, approval, login links, password resets.
To detect and prevent fraud, including self-referral and click fraud (see our Terms of Service).

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use your data for advertising unrelated to the Program.

3. Who We Share Data With

We use the following third-party service providers to operate the Program. Each processes data on our behalf, under their own security and privacy practices:

Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Hosts your account, dashboard data, and click/commission records.
Paystack — processes customer payments for the products you promote. We never see or store customer card details.
Resend — sends transactional emails (approvals, login links) on our behalf.
Cloudflare — hosts and delivers the website itself.

4. Data Security

We restrict access to affiliate data using Row Level Security — technical controls that mean an affiliate can only ever see their own data through the dashboard, and only authorized admin accounts can see data across all affiliates.

Current practice, stated honestly: bank/payout details you provide are currently stored as plain text in our database, accessible to authorized administrators. We have not yet implemented field-level encryption for this specific data. We are working to add this additional protection. 5. Data Retention

We retain affiliate account and commission data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with financial record-keeping obligations and resolve any disputes. You may request deletion of your account per Section 7 below, subject to our need to retain commission/payment records for legitimate accounting purposes.

6. Cookies and Tracking

We use your browser's local storage (not third-party advertising cookies) to remember an affiliate referral code during your visit, so a purchase can be correctly attributed if you complete one. This is essential to how the Program functions and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

7. Your Rights

Under Nigeria's Data Protection Act 2023 and the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to:

Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
Request correction of inaccurate data;
Request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to Section 5 above;
Withdraw consent for optional communications at any time.

8. Children's Privacy

The Program is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect information from, anyone under 18 years old.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above.
